The Originators of "Sneakers"

Keds came on the scene in 1916 by the US Rubber Company and the term "sneakers" was created due to the quiet sound that the soles of the shoes made allowing people to "sneak" around. Based on my earlier post you know that I have a difficult time with my son and laces so I try to buy him slip on sneaks that are also fashionable. Well I was searching the Keds website and found some cool slip-ons that were all under 20$!!
